Online Training & Certification

The Alzheimer’s Association offers online certification for professional care providers through Alzheimer's Association essentiALZ®, an online dementia care certification program for individuals that provides recognition for knowledge of quality dementia care practices. Studies show staff trained specifically in dementia care are able to provide better quality of life for residents and have increased confidence, productivity and job satisfaction. The essentiALZ exam tests understanding of evidence-based dementia care practices that are promoted in the nationally recognized Alzheimer's Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations and supported by more than 30 leading health and senior care organizations.
