The Alzheimer’s Association has been very proud to present the Dr. Richard Seyfarth Schreiber Memorial Conference as a premiere conference in western Michigan; unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this year’s conference originally scheduled for April 13-14 will be postponed until October 16.
Dr. Richard Seyfarth Schreiber Memorial Conference
Western Michigan University's Fetzer Center, Kalamazoo
Mary Ellen Geist, author of Measure of the Heart: A Father’s Alzheimer’s, A Daughter’s Return, will be delivering the keynote address titled Caregiving from the Heart. Geist is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and a former broadcast journalist of 20 years. When her father’s Alzheimer’s disease became too much for her mother to shoulder alone, she gave up her career as a CBS Radio anchor in New York to return to her childhood home in Northern Michigan.
The Schreiber Conference is made possible in part by a gift from the Schreiber family, formerly of Kalamazoo, in memory of Dr. Richard Seyfarth Schreiber.
