Alzheimer's Association Comfort Zone® and Comfort Zone Check-In® are GPS location management services that help families monitor a person with Alzheimer's or dementia. Families receive alerts if the person wanders from a preset safety perimeter.
Comfort Zone®
What is it?
Comfort Zone is a comprehensive web-based location management service powered by Omnilink. Families can monitor the person with Alzheimer's from a secured website and receive alerts when the person leaves a preset safety zone. This comprehensive service includes enrollment in MedicAlert® + Alzheimer's Association Safe Return® and access to a 24/7 monitoring center to help you with location management if you are unable to get on the Internet.
What do I need to get started?
- A device compatible with the Comfort Zone application
- A Comfort Zone plan that meets your needs
- Internet access
What will it cost?
Comfort Zone plans start at $39.99 per month plus a $45 activation fee. A Comfort Zone plan is designed specifically to each device.

You can buy a small, dedicated tracking device that can be easily carried in a pocket or purse, or a device that installs in a car.

Comfort Zone Check-In®
What is it?
Comfort Zone Check-In is a self-service web-based location management service powered by Omnilink that lets families monitor a person with Alzheimer's using on-demand "finds" or receiving a once daily schedule location alert. Comfort Zone Check-In does not include enrollment in MedicAlert® + Alzheimer's Association Safe Return®. You can enroll separately by clicking here.
Comfort Zone is the first system designed specifically with Alzheimer's in mind. It gives you peace of mind, and allows independence for the person living with Alzheimer's.
What do I need to get started?
There are three things you need to get started with Comfort Zone Check-In:
- A device compatible with the Comfort Zone Check-In application
- A Comfort Zone Check-In monthly subscription with cellular coverage
- Internet access
What will it cost?
Comfort Zone Check-In plans start at $9.99 per month.
What devices are available?
You can buy a small, dedicated tracking device that can be easily carried in a pocket or purse, or you can track a Sprint cell phone that the individual with Alzheimer's may already own and carry every day.
