Early Stage Memory Loss Program

We provide education and support specifically designed for individuals who are in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease or a related disorder. The Early Stage Memory Loss program (ESML) provides an opportunity for those with mild memory loss problems to meet others who are in similar circumstances. The program also provides an opportunity for family, friends and care partners to learn with their loved one about memory loss and other areas of concern (care partners cannot attend alone). We cover the basics of Alzheimer's and dementia, coping with memory problems, improving communication, social and family relationships, disclosing the diagnosis, planning for the future, legal issues and next steps.

The program is provided in partnership with a variety of health and human services organizations, professionals and individual volunteers. The program is held in different areas of Western Washington throughout the year. There is no fee to participate in this program. To learn more please call 1-800-848-7097 or (206) 363-5500 and ask to speak with the early stage program coordinator.
